Community based mask wearing to reduce transmission of COVID-19

Together with researchers from Yale University, Stanford University, and the University of California Berkeley, I implemented a randomized controlled trial with approximately 350,000 individuals to causally estimate the effect of mask-wearing at the community level. The result of the project has been published in Science and the intervention has been scaled up in multiple countries.

Seaosnal migration to tackle seasonal poverty

I helped Professor Mushfiq Mobarak and Professor Shyamal Chowdhury to implement a decade-long randomized controlled trial to study the effect of a small incentive to migrate to cities on the seasonal poverty of agricultural laborers. The intervention had a 9:1 benefit-cost ratio.
